The Future of Teacher Development

Eye for Learning is a mobile self-review camera system which gives teachers control over their own development. Designed to develop the quality of teaching and learning, it allows teachers to record their lessons and view them in their own time, using the video to review and evaluate their own practice

The Technology

  • Discreet wireless cameras record the lesson, feeding the video and audio back to a laptop.
  • Video is stored for teachers to view on their own at their leisure
  • The system is simple to set up and use and means teachers can ask their colleagues to review their lesson without the need for the colleague to be in the room.

    Why use Eye for Learning?

Video technology is increasingly being used within many professions as a way of improving and enhancing practice. The Eye for Learning aims to develop the quality of teaching and learning by giving the teacher control over their own progression and development.

                       Interim Management

The Eye for Learning has many possible uses, with teachers able to focus on specific aspects of their teaching practice and the effect it has on pupils' learning simply by moving the mobile cameras to a specific part of their classroom or teaching space.

As part of the Eye for Learning kit, schools are given a guide book, outlining the various ways in which the technology can be used as well as suggestions on how a teacher might want to focus their review.
