Who decides which of my lessons are recorded?View AnswerTeachers are in control of the whole process. You decide which lesson is recorded and how much of it is recorded. You then have the choice over who does or doesn’t see the video.
How will the Eye for Learning help my teaching?View AnswerThe system allows teachers to review their lessons against chosen criteria, giving them the opportunity to focus on improving specific areas or aspects of their practice.
How much of my lessons do I have to record? I only want to record a specific section of the lesson, is this possible?View AnswerWhole or parts of learning can be recorded. The Eye for Learning will stop recording with the click of a button, allowing you to record only the parts of your lesson which you will find useful.
I would like to focus on a specific group to see how they approach a given task, is this possible?View AnswerTeachers can gain an overview of the whole classroom during a lesson or focus on particular groups of learners and how they approach a task, additional microphones allow you to capture task-related discussions between groups of children.
How easy to use is this technology?View VAnswerThe Eye for Learning technology has been designed to be simple to set up and use. Simply power up the cameras, laptop and EFL hub and the kit is ready to record.
What if I don't want anyone else to see my lesson?View AnswerTeachers can observe and review their own practice and its impact upon learning without feeling threatened by a third party presence. The video will be owned by you, meaning you can decide whether to ask a colleague to help review your lesson or just watch it yourself.
Whilst I would not always want my video shared by all staff, there are one or two trusted friends that I wouldn't mind viewing it with meView AnswerTeachers have the choice to get feedback from a colleague as and when they feel comfortable.
If the videos always stay with individual teachers how is this helpful to developing teaching across the school?View AnswerExperience shows that once staff have used the system and feel assured that it is developmental, they are happy to share with others and schools can build a bank of learning and teaching sessions showing effective practice, for use by all staff.

Why would this technology be any different?View AnswerWith Eye for Learning pupils are not influenced by a third party presence. From testing the Eye for Learning in many classroom environments we have found that children forget the cameras are there, meaning the review video gives teachers an accurate portrayal of a ‘normal’ lesson.
How many Eye for Learning kits should my school have?View AnswerThe Eye for Learning kit is portable and can be moved between classrooms, avoiding the need for one kit per classroom.
